This pillow was for my sister-in-law who also has a beautiful garden with an amazing plot of garlic!! She makes beautiful arrangements with the garlic scapes in the spring. Since this was a birthday gift I didn’t worry about using a picture of a watercolor painting by Eunike Nugroho I found on the internet. It captured the beautiful color nuances in a garlic bulb as well as the gorgeous swirl of the scapes.
This was my second pillow. I decided to highlight and sew just one image onto a white background. I really love the fabrics I used in this pillow; the tiny pieces of fabric I used for the hair at the top of the bulb; as well as the micro stippling surrounding the bulb and scape.
